Stephanie Vandrick grew up in Canada, India, and Michigan. She has been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for most of her adult life; she teaches at the University of San Francisco. She is the author, co-author, or co-editor of four academic books and numerous journal articles. Her most recent book is "Growing Up with God and Empire: A Postcolonial Analysis of 'Missionary Kid' Memoirs" (Multilingual Matters, 2019). She is married and has an adult daughter and two wonderful grandchildren. She has been an avid reader since childhood.
